The Camera Obscura (the Dark Chamber), where the observer sees the single-perspective light of the spectacle.
"This is not the installation — Thinking Inside the Box places the observer within the camera and within a small part of my own process as a photographer.
Rarely am I comfortable or safe in the circuitous, ever-evolving clutter of my thoughts. I am alone within the inverted image, seeking that perfect mesh of moment and composition, yet ever interacting with the environment, the object, the subject. Battling insecurity, loneliness, and doubt, I search my vision for the truths and the lies before me.
Within this box, this chamber, focus repeats in my head, forever reminding me of the moment. The moment is all that matters..."
